Hickman Rural Fire and Rescue is a volunteer department consisting of twenty-seven volunteer firefighters and EMTs.

The Department services all of Hickman and much of the surrounding area. Below are the boundaries of the Hickman Rural Fire and Rescue district:
For non-emergency Fire Department inquiries, please visit the Hickman Fire Station on Tuesdays between 6:50 pm - 7:00 pm. Fire Station Phone number is 402-540-9408.
For burn permits located outside of the City of Hickman (Burning is not allowed within City limits), please apply online at https://hickmanfirerescue.org/burn-permit-application/. Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.
